About me
Hi my name's Jon Harbour. I live in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates and I work in the computer division of ADMA-OPCO, the off-shore oil company for Abu Dhabi. This picture was taken on a weekend camping trip in the Empty Quarter, a desert roughly the size of France. My friends and I go out dune driving most weekends during the winter. We might be crazy, but we're not stupid enough to do this in the summer, when the temperature reaches up to sixty degrees celcius !
What I'm interested in:
  • Motorsport
    My particular area of interest is in off-road rallying. I help with the UAE Desert Challenge each year - the last round of the FIA World Cup for Off-Road Rallying. This year, I'm in charge of the start for all four days of the event.
  • Off-Road Driving
    I love taking my 4x4 out into the sand dunes at weekends. It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on !
  • Photography
    I take a lot of my own pictures. I've even won a few prizes with some!
